Baby loot!

At some point we have to get some things to go with our new addition.  It is a little overwhelming to think about all of the little things we may need.  Many of you may know that I am not the worlds best shopper, and may possibly one of the worst!!!  We are trying to be minimalist, wallet and ecofriendly in our kid gear and not get a bunch of junk that we won't use by acquiring from friends and buying used.  I am actually having fun thinking about getting all of the little tiny loot we will need and some of the fun stuff we don't really need.  I guess this is nesting!!  Well, my mom and sister have already gotten us some great supplies for baby and mommy.

I definitely got a little rounder this week.....

We had a wonderful few days this past week with Janis' little sister Mara, her husband Joel, and their adorable baby, Benita.  Our baby may end up looking a lot like this sweet little one.  Note the belly ledge in action!!!

My baby daddy!

Peanut is still on the same schedule with lots of activity in the morning and evenings.  It must be getting a little tighter in there since the kicks are getting even more pronounced and I am getting more of the creepy, parasitic squirming around movements.  Since I get to feel movement all day, it is Janis' turn in the mornings to see what Peanut is up to.  My sleeping is a little off and I often doze off again in the mornings after we start listening to Morning Edition.  This works out really well for Janis as he says he gets his 'alone' time with the baby while I am sleeping.  What a sweet baby daddy he is!!!

Boy or Girl???
Janis woke up the other morning to proclaim that it's a boy!!  I am still on the fence, but we now have a few votes for boy and one vote for girl.

22 week belly shot

It still kind of looks like a beer gut with a sweatshirt on, but I am working on it!!  That is our backyard and my garden, still covered in snow.  I started raking it all out yesterday so we can plant really soon!  Yay, spring!!
