Random Acts of Cuteness.

On our hike the other day, Aina decided to take a little break on the trail.....

She said she needed to sing a song to the trees, air guitar and all!

Ski Racer!

Today was Aina's fourth day on skis.  By the fifth run on day one she had figured out how to turn and stop and decided that going slow and stopping was for the birds and wanted to go straight and fast every run.  So we had to make a deal, one run she goes straight with no stopping and the next run she has to turn through the cones or ski to one of her parents and turn around them.  Needless-to-say, she likes her "fast" runs best!

Ripping through the cones!

Getting to ride the big kid lift.

You are allowed to ride with infants on the lift at Bridger Bowl, so Mabel got to join in the fun.

Of course, Aina's favorite part about skiing....hot chocolate!

Tired baby after a long day of skiing.

Aina Putelis, MD, CPM

Here's the set-up, an Ikea castle tent outfitted with three kid-sized chairs is functioning as a field office for Aina's medical practice.  I have been told to squeeze myself into one of these chairs for a check-up from the doctor.  Once I get situated, Aina says "turn towards me, I can't see your feelings".  Not sure what this means, but I face her as much as I can under the very tight circumstances.  She very gently starts patting my stomach with her hands and tells me that "I am going to have to do some things that are not appropriate".  This disclosure comes with the appropriate serious face and head nodding.  She just used that word for the first time today and I think I told her that once a while back when she was poking Mabel in the bum in the bathtub, so I am a little wary to say the least.  But then, surprise, I have a baby right there in the tent.  Aina calls out to Mabel to come to the tent and act as the new baby.  It was a nice easy birth of a healthy, walking, talking, 24 lb baby!!

Three year olds are SO much fun!
